"Keep legs in the warm, and the head in cold", – it the popular expression is known to much, here not all only adhere to it. But physicians strongly recommend motorists to adopt good advice and prove the recommendations from the scientific point of view: air temperature at the head of the driver has to be 6-7 °C lower, than at legs. Thereby the thermal comfort at which the driver gets tired less is reached, reacts to change of a surrounding situation better.
It is simple to reach such difference of temperatures, in principle, it is enough to install the conditioner in the car. But the device is expensive and in service is a little whimsical. It is possible to pomanipulirovat glasses of windows, but the optimum result will manage to achieve hardly. From a small shchelochka of effect any, and in well slightly opened window wind – here not before difference of temperatures rushes into 6–7 degrees, especially in the winter.
The hatch can become the compromise solution. Exactly thanks to it it is possible to improve a microclimate of your car significantly.
At the movement the speed of an air stream over the car is rather big. In salon it is practically absent. Respectively, air pressure in salon is more. But once you slightly slightly open the hatch, air will begin to be extended from within. It is easy to check it, having lit in the "zalyukovanny" car. Smoke from a cigarette a stream will begin to come to light, without leaving in salon even of a smell. And it cannot but affect a microclimate in the car (and in direct, and figuratively), especially, when in it there are smokers and non-smoking.
Because in interior of the car with the hatch there is an intensive exchange of air, the heater here too works in the winter more effectively, providing necessary temperature balance.
Except everything mentioned, it is possible to note one more important thing. In case of road accident when an exit from the car through regular doors and windows is complicated or impossible, the hatch can use as an emergency exit.
By the way, noticed? Oddish, according to linguists, the word "zalyukovanny" was included into a lexicon of motorists quite thoroughly and in anybody does not cause bewilderment any more. As, however, and the hatch in a car roof which was considered first as a limit of luxury and accessory of only very expensive foreign cars.
What hatches happen?
Conditionally they can be divided into two classes. The first are hatches which are installed on the car at manufacturer. They are, as a rule, opaque (though there are exceptions), and in open situation the cover hides under a ceiling covering. There are especially "fancy", consisting of two halves and providing several operating modes: an air intake, an extract, the strengthened extract. The drive at them in most cases either mechanical (manually), or already electrified.
Cut-in hatches belong to the second class. They can be seen on the majority of both import, and our cars. They, as a rule, differ from "company" in a transparent cover and one situation at which of the car there is an extract of intra saloon air. (Though there are models which allow to uncover and enjoy completely the open sky over the head. But about it a bit later.)
Than cut-in hatches are good? The fact that they are unified is considered indisputable advantage: it is possible to install this miracle on any car, from Cadillac to "Zaporozhets". Process of installation does not take a lot of time, naturally, with skills. At the expert on it leaves hour one and a half-two. The paper template on which the window in a ceiling is cut out is included in the package of the hatch. Psychologically the procedure, of course, not from pleasant – on the new car open a roof as a can. However, even not on new (namely cut-in hatches differ in such "democratism"). But the anticipation of advantages of this simple device has to overcome sincere discomfort.
After "skin" is removed, the amplifier of a roof leaves, to tell more precisely, that its part which got to a "window" aperture. It is succeeded further by a hatch frame which copes with the duties not worse at all. Penultimate action is removal of a part of an upholstery of a ceiling. And in conclusion – the installation of the hatch which is bearing a faint resemblance to assembly of a tambour for embroidery on fabric. After that it is not recommended to use the hatch within three days: sealant which is applied at installation has to stiffen. (If you had to face "covers" – so call hatches on a slang, – which flow, then it occurs because the last requirement is not fulfilled.)
What cut-in hatches are? The choice here, however, as well as dispersion of the prices, is big: from the simplest, opening in one situation and costing the owners $180 together with installation, to "fancy" electric for $700 with the same installation.
But the most optimal variant, in our opinion, – installation of the hatch opening discretely, in several fixed provisions, and providing the open corner which is most suitable in a concrete case. Usually these "covers" have from two up to four fixed provisions or the mechanical drive in the form of the rotating handle.
In the majority hatches are executed from a tinted glass. But sometimes even such protection is not enough, especially, when the sun in a zenith. In this case sun-protection blinds which are included in the package of some "covers" can help.
There are hatches which not just provide an air extract from salon, but also are removable. Such option will suit fans of a safari. In the open hatch it is possible to lean out either with the gun, or with the camera. Only in the car it is necessary to prepare the place for uncovered in advance. It though is executed from red-hot, and sometimes and the glass reinforced by a microwire, nevertheless demands the accurate address.
The most expensive and labor-consuming at installation the electric hatch is considered. If it not movable, then the principle of its work differs in nothing from others, just process of opening is entrusted an electromotor. By and large – overindulgence, but in the presence of the branded alarm system (providing at statement on protection locking of all glasses) you will not forget to close the hatch any more, it will make it.
The movable hatch gives to owners ampler opportunities. It is possible to tell, the sum of all combined. Here only in the shifted state it bears a faint resemblance to a fairing on the main tractor. Though it can be convenient addition for the car which often should drag the trailer dacha. In the car not hot, and economy of fuel is available. Pressed the button – and it is ready. However, the price in $700 bites a little. However everyone is free to choose. Especially as a healthy microclimate in the car – not luxury, but need.
