Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the air filter. 2. Merge cooling liquid as well from the case of a bent shaft. 3. Disconnect hoses of heating and cooling liquid from a head of the block of cylinders, having weakened previously hose collars. 4. Disconnect a wire of mass of the battery (–). Prevention At the same time the anticreeping code of radio is erased. See instructions to subsection on removal of the battery. 5. Install the first cylinder of the engine in ignition VMT. For this purpose transfer the transmission to idling and tighten the parking brake. Turn a bent shaft before coincidence of markings by means of a wrench with SW27 nozzle for the central bolt of a belt pulley of a bent shaft in the direction of rotation of the engine, i.e. clockwise. 6. Extend the fixing fan casing ring ledge. Turn a covering in the direction of the arrow "open" and take. 7. Uncover a head of the block of cylinders. 8. Remove a natyazhitel of a chain. Prevention Natyazhitel chains should be removed because at withdrawal of the top tire he automatically sips a ratchet. It can lead to an excessive tension of a chain. 9. Unscrew the recirculation pipeline of hot liquid (25) from a locking cover (28) if it is available. 10. Disconnect shtekkerny connections of the position sensor of the camshaft. 11. Unscrew the pulling shock-absorber roller from a forward cover, push out down and turn. Track an adjacent washer, do not forget to establish it at the subsequent assembly. 12. Unscrew bolts (shooter) of a forward cover. Uncover with bolts (c). 13. Unscrew bolts (d) of a retsirkulyator of cooling liquid if they are available. 14. Mark the provision of gear wheels of the camshaft in relation to the operating chain by means of a felt-tip pen or paint. 15. Weaken bolts (3) of a by-pass wheel (1) if it is available. Prevention The bolt has the left carving, twists to the right. 16. Remove details together with a support (2). 17. Extend fingers of the directing tires a pusher or other suitable tool. 18. Unscrew a camshaft regulator anchor. 19. Dismantle a set of the wires going to the engine namely, weaken all connectors of wires and remove together with shtekkerny connections. 20. Disconnect the mechanism of a tempomat if it is available. 21. Disconnect shtekkerny connection in the place of the socket (X26/17). Disconnect shtekkerny connection of an executive link of an electronic pedal of an accelerator (16/1х1) for what press a lock latch (shooter). At the same time the plug turns by means of a spiral spring on 90 °. Take a set of wires of the engine from cable channel. 22. Unscrew a forward exhaust pipe from a final collector. 23. Unscrew a hose of absorption of air (1) on a head of the block of cylinders. 24. Disconnect a hose from the backpressure valve of absorption of air (shooter), unscrew the holder. 25. Unscrew the holder of the directing tube of the measuring instrument of level of oil and a support of an inlet pipe (arrow). 26. Disconnect a ventilation hose (43) cases of a bent shaft from the combined support (17). 27. For a while open a stopper of the fuel tank to reduce excessive pressure. Then unscrew fuel-supply lines (shooters). 28. Unscrew a hose of depression (2) from withdrawal of an inlet pipe. 29. Disconnect a cable of management of a butterfly valve (30) from a branch pipe of a butterfly valve. 30. At the automatic transmission: unscrew the directing tube of a core of measurement of level of oil from a head of the block of cylinders. 31. Unscrew a key with a nozzle, for example, of HAZET 990SLg-12, bolts of a head of the block of cylinders as it should be, the return numberings in the drawing, i.e. from 14 to 1. The cylinder 1 is aside ventilation of the engine. 32. Raise a head of the block of cylinders by means of the repair crane. For this purpose pass the corresponding cable or a rope throughout eyes.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Before installation of a head of the block of cylinders and the block of cylinders clear sealing surfaces of the sealant remains a suitable shaber. Track that the remains of sealant did not get to openings. Close openings a rag. 2. Check a steel ruler planeness of a head of the block of cylinders and the motor block in the longitudinal and cross direction, if necessary finish (work for repair shops). 3. Check a head of the block of cylinders for absence of scratches, and the working surface of cylinders – for absence рисок. 4. Carefully clear openings under bolts of a head of the block of cylinders of oil and other deposits. 5. Surely replace sealing laying of a head of the block of cylinders. 6. Impose new sealing laying without sealant so that openings were not closed. 7. Before installation of a head of the block of cylinders check whether there are camshafts in the provision of VMT. In this situation it is possible to establish pins (1) with a diameter of 4 mm directly from above of the upper edge of a head of the block of cylinders in flanges of gear wheels of camshafts. The bent shaft also still has to be in the provision of VMT. 8. Establish a head of the block of cylinders. Prevention The head of the block of cylinders is fixed by adjusting pins in the block of cylinders. 9. Measure length of bolts of a head of the block of cylinders from bottom edge of a head of a bolt which at new installation makes length of 160 mm. With a length of 162,7 mm replace bolts. 10. Grease a carving of a head of the block of cylinders and the place of a prileganiye of heads of bolts. Establish bolts and twirl them manually. 11. Tighten bolts in heads of the block of cylinders in the sequence from the first to the 14th in three stages. At first wrap bolts a dynamometer key with m 55 N.' moment. At the second stage tighten all bolts with 1 on 10 on 90 ° Rozhkov a key. On the third – tighten further bolts with 1 on 10 for 90 ° Rozhkov a key. Prevention Carefully tighten bolts of a head of the block of cylinders. Before tightening check the accuracy of a dynamometer key. When tightening bolts for assessment of an angle of rotation arrange the key handle along the engine and turn one movement until the handle settles down across the engine. 12. Impose a chain of management on gear wheels of camshafts, observing the marking put when dismantling. 13. Take pins with a diameter of 4 mm from flanges of camshafts. 14. Connect a hose of cooling liquid to the pump of cooling liquid and record a hose tape. 15. Attach a cable of management of a butterfly valve and adjust it. 16. Connect the mechanism of a tempomat if it is available. 17. Automatic transmission: screw the directing oil level measuring instrument tube behind a head of the block of cylinders. 18. Screw up together the return and direct pipelines of fuel, do not press the place of their connection. 19. Screw the depression pipeline for the amplifier of braking on an inlet pipe. Put on a hose of ventilation of a case of a bent shaft the combined support and record a hose collar. 20. Screw the holder of the directing tube of the measuring instrument of level of oil and a support of an inlet pipe. 21. Install the pipeline of absorption of air with a subconnecting hose to a head of the block of cylinders. Between the pipeline and a head of the block of cylinders use a new sealing ring. 22. Put on the electric plug for a set of wires of the engine and lay in cable channel. Establish a connector of wires. 23. Screw an anchor on the regulator of camshafts. 24. Screw with the moment 35 N. of m a by-pass gear wheel of a chain with a support if it is available (the left carving). 25. Implant fingers of the directing tires into the motor block. 26. For sealing in the fat-free flute of a cover of the operating case at the left and on the right on a joint (shooter) with a head of the block of cylinders according to points apply sealant, Mercedes-N001 9896120. Instead of it it is possible to use also other sealant, for example, of Omnifit FD 10 or Curil. 27. Enclose in the fat-free flute a new sealant without sealant. Cover a forward cover in places of its prileganiye to a head of the block of cylinders with sealant 002 989 00 20 10. 28. Establish a forward cover with the inserted lower bolt (е). Tighten the lower bolts at first with m 20 N.' moment. 29. Screw the device of regulation of camshafts, seal a carving of bolts of fastening (f) with sealant, for example, of Curil. 30. Oil engine a radial sealing ring and put on the camshaft. That the sealing ring was not damaged on edge, previously paste over with a tape elements of connection of the camshaft, remove a tape after installation of a sealing ring. Specialized workshops instead have the introduction plug with a diameter of 20 mm. 31. Fasten from above the shock-absorber tension device with laying. 32. Screw a retsirkulyator of cooling liquid if it is available. 33. Attach electric plugs to the position sensor and the regulator of camshafts. 34. Establish a natyazhitel of a chain. 35. Establish a fan casing ring, turn it and record. 36. Establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders. 37. Connect spark plug plugs to ignition coils. 38. Install the air filter. 39. Screw an exhaust pipe on a collector. 40. Connect hoses of cooling liquid to a head of the block of cylinders and record collars. 41. Fill in cooling liquid. 42. Connect the rechargeable battery. 43. Expose time on hours. 44. Set an anticreeping code of radio. 45. Warm up the engine up to its working temperature and check tightness of all connections.
