8.3.3. Nozzles

GENERAL INFORMATION

Faulty nozzles unscrew in turn, weakening cap nuts on fuel-supply lines of high pressure while the engine works in the idling mode on rapid turnovers. If the frequency of rotation of the engine after weakening of a cap nut remains to a constant, it indicates malfunction of a nozzle.

The auto repair shop can check a stream of injectable fuel and pressure of injection of a nozzle ranging from 100 to 125 bars and if necessary to make adjustment by means of replacement of an adjusting washer.

The first signs of emergence of malfunction in a nozzle:

 – interruptions in ignition;
 – detonation knock in one or in several cylinders;
 – engine overheat;
 – falling of engine capacity;
 – excessively strong black dense smoke in exhaust gases;
 – high consumption of fuel;
 – the strengthened blue smoke at launch of the cold engine

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a cross pipe of the air filter.
2. Clean fuel-supply lines outside.
3. Unscrew the fuel-supply line of high pressure (54) connecting a nozzle and the fuel pump of high pressure, remove the holder, having removed spring clips, and put it aside. At the same time do not change a curved form of a fuel-supply line.
Prevention

The otvorachivaniye of cap nuts on fuel-supply lines of high pressure requires an open ring wrench, the HAZET 4550-14 type with 1/4 drive and the extender. 1/4 means that length of the edging of a tetrahedral opening on an insert of a key makes 1/4 inches.


4. Remove from a nozzle pipelines for discharge of the filtering fuel (50). Extend a cap (52) from a nozzle of the fourth cylinder.
5. Unscrew a nozzle (30) by means of a face wrench of SW 37 supplied with very long nozzle.
6. If is available, extend the condensing plug.
7. Take laying of a nozzle (53).

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish new laying of a nozzle (113).
2. If is available, insert the condensing plug (109) into a carving ring (112).
3. Screw in a nozzle (114) and hardly tighten it with m 30 N.' moment. In addition represented details: 70 – a cylinder head, 71 – laying of a head of the cylinder, 110 – the precamera.
4. Spread the pipeline for the discharge filtering topliva.15. Screw pipelines of high pressure on a nozzle and the pump and fix the holder by spring clips.
5. Build in a cross pipe of the air filter.

ENGINES 2,2 / 2,5 L

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a cross pipe of the air filter.
2. Unscrew a casing (6/1) of a cover of a head of the cylinder.
3. By means of suitable nippers pull on nozzles pipelines for discharge of the filtering fuel.
4. Unscrew from nozzles and the pump of nozzles fuel-supply lines of high pressure, remove spring clips from the holder and put aside. At the same time do not change a curved form of a fuel-supply line.
Prevention

The otvorachivaniye of cap nuts on fuel-supply lines of high pressure requires an open ring wrench, for example, of HAZET 4550-14.


5. Unscrew a nozzle (50) by means of a face key of SW27 with a long nozzle.
6. Take laying of a nozzle (50/6).

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Insert new laying of a nozzle.
2. Screw in nozzles and hardly tighten them with m 40 N.' moment.
3. Spread pipelines for discharge of the filtering fuel.

2,2 L ENGINE

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Screw on a nozzle and the pump (10) with m 10–20 N.' moment (approximate value) fuel-supply lines of high pressure from 55/1 to 55/4. To avoid a break of pipelines, it is necessary to establish fixing spring clips (56).
3. Establish a casing of a cover of a head of cylinders.
4. Establish a cross pipe of the air filter.

2,5 L ENGINE

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Screw on a nozzle and the pump (10) with m 10–20 N.' moment (approximate value) fuel-supply lines of high pressure from 55/1 to 55/5. To avoid a break of pipelines, it is necessary to establish according to the drawing fixing spring clips (56).
3. Establish a cylinder cover casing.
4. Establish a cross pipe of the air filter.
