The beginning of forcing of the fuel pump of nozzles is checked, or, respectively, control is made if the engine gives too low power or the new fuel pump was installed.

There are two various test and adjusting methods which can be used in auto repair shop depending on its equipment: a static method with use of the position sensor and a dynamic test method with use of the digital control device. Here the static method with use of the position sensor is described. Control of the beginning of supply of fuel by the pump requires the position sensor (the situation sensor).

After static control the beginning of giving of the pump needs to be checked in the dynamic way in auto repair shop, and, therefore, and in the idling mode. For the 2,2 / 2,5 l engines only dynamic check is provided, or, respectively, control began fuel supply with the pump.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Turn out a carving stopper (shooter) sideways on the fuel pump of high pressure.
Prevention

If oil acts, remove it a rag.


2. Install the position sensor (1) in the regulator case so that the directing pin specified (3) sensors up. By hand tighten a cap nut.
3. Establish a bent shaft in the situation corresponding to the moment of ignition of the first cylinder.
4. After that turn further a pulley until on the indicator sensor (5) the bulb flashes (And). Now continue to rotate quite slowly a pulley while both bulbs (A) burn and (In).
In this case both contacts of the position sensor (1), thanks to pins of a small weight (6) of the centrifugal mechanism of regulation settle down on weight in view of what both bulbs shine. This position of the regulator (2) of the fuel pump of nozzles indirectly corresponds to the beginning of supply of fuel the pump.
5. The pulley has to be in a position 14 ° + 0,5 ° after VMT now. I.e. the initial mark is above situation 14 ° tags on a pulley.
Prevention

Do not rotate the engine in the opposite direction. If only the bulb (V) flashes, then repeat test. At the same time turn the crankshaft approximately on two turns and especially slowly turn it in area in which the bulb lights up.


Control

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish a bent shaft in the direction of rotation of the engine on 14 ° after VMT of the first cylinder. For this purpose at first establish a bent shaft in the situation corresponding to the ignition moment and then turn a little further.
2. Weaken, without unscrewing, bolts (13) on a flange of the fuel pump of high pressure.
3. Weaken, without unscrewing, bolts (13a) on the basic holder of the fuel pump of high pressure.
4. Rotate by means of a face wrench a tension bolt and, thanks to it, displace the fuel pump of high pressure until on the indicator device both bulbs (A) do not light up and (In). At the same time rotate a tension bolt to the right if at test the beginning of giving of the pump settled down for 14 ° after mark VMT. If the beginning of giving of the pump has to occur earlier, then turn a tension bolt to the left.
Prevention

If the possibility of movement by means of a tension bolt is not provided, then it is necessary to remove and rearrange the pump of nozzles (work of auto repair shop).


5. With m 25 N.' moment (approximate value) tighten to the full fixing bolts of the pump of nozzles on a flange and the holder.
6. Unscrew and Take the position sensor.
7. Screw in with the moment 30 N. of m a carving stopper with an aluminum sealing ring.
8. Check gas system of drafts and levers, if necessary adjust.
9. Check the level of engine oil, at an opportunity make adjustment.
