3.1.12. Maslootrazhatelny caps

GENERAL INFORMATION

Worn-out maslootrazhatelny caps can cause the raised oil consumption. Caps can be removed also at the established head of the block of cylinders. However, at the same time compressed air and a lever pusher with the basic device, for example, of Mercedes-11 589 015900, 11 589 186 186 100 and 11 589 256 300 is necessary. If there is no special tool, then it is necessary to remove a head of the block of cylinders.

Below replacement of maslootrazhatelny caps for the 4-cylinder engine is described, and for 6-cylinder – act on sense, using the corresponding tool.

Removal


Prevention

If details of control of the valve are used again, they should be mounted on the same places. Not to mix a detail, manufacture the special panel for their storage.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove camshafts.
2. Remove spark plugs.
3. Remove a sheeting of wires of the engine on a forward wall of a body.
4. Fasten a basic crossing point (2) with a mobile detail (7) to bearings 1 and 5 of the camshaft or 20 N. are later to bearings 6 and 10 with the moment than m.
5. Turn in VMT the piston of the corresponding cylinder a wrench with a nozzle. 4-cylinder engine: at the provision of VMT of a belt pulley pistons 1 and 4 stand in VMT. At coincidence of a 180-degree mark of a belt pulley to a basic mark in VMT there are pistons of cylinders 1 and 6. 6-cylinder engine: at the provision of VMT of a belt pulley in VMT there are also pistons of cylinders 1 and 6. At coincidence of a 120-degree mark of a belt pulley – pistons of cylinders 2 and 5; at a 240-degree mark – pistons of cylinders 3 and 4.
Prevention

At turn of a bent shaft highly raise the operating chain that it was not jammed.


6. Hang a lever pusher.
7. Extend a dish-shaped pusher (3) a rubber sucker (diameter of 30 mm), for example, of HAZET 735-2.

Prevention

Do not use for this purpose a magnetic siphon as the surface of sliding of a dish-shaped pusher is magnetized, and subsequently on it the smallest metal shaving is laid that leads to damage of a pusher and cams.


8. Record a bent shaft. For this purpose establish the first transfer and tighten the parking brake.
9. Install excessive pressure at least 6 bars in the cylinder combustion chamber. For this purpose screw in a subconnecting hose (4) devices for check of tightness of the cylinder in a spark plug opening. If there is no control device of tightness, it is possible to make the corresponding hose by means of an old spark plug.
10. Bite off an electrode of "mass" of an old spark plug (1). Break off the ceramic insulator (2) by means of the screw-driver, and also break off, shaking backwards-forward, and take an average electrode (3). Push out a punch (about 3 mm) the remains of an average electrode with the glass melt (4) and a connecting finger (5). At the same time clamp a spark plug in a vice or use the machine corresponding vintonarezny.

Prevention

Do not damage a spark plug carving not to spoil an opening carving in a head of the block of cylinders.


11. Screw in a spark plug in the corresponding cylinder, connect to a delivery air hose and install excessive pressure at least 6 bars in the cylinder.
12. Establish a lever pusher (9) with a detail of pressure (5) upon a plate of a valve spring. Arrange a detail of pressure and a mobile detail in parallel each other. Record a mobile detail a bolt (8).
13. Squeeze a valve spring.
Prevention

Do not squeeze a valve spring without compressed air, otherwise damage of valves and pistons is possible.


14. Remove details of a rod of the valve (14) from a valve core with tweezers (6) or a magnetic siphon.
15. Take a plate springs of the valve (15) and a spring of the valve (17).
16. Remove a maslootrazhatelny cap (86) from a valve core special pincers, for example, of HAZET 791-6.

Prevention

Do not damage a core and a guide of the valve.


17. Take a plate springs of the valve (15) and a spring of the valve (17).
18. If it is necessary, remove agnails from a valve core flute a fine emery cloth.
19. Check wear of guides of the valve in the field of a prileganiye them to maslootrazhatelny caps. Replace valve guides (work for repair shops).

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The bent details of a rod, valves and a spring plate replace.
2. Valve guides which are rejected from the holding flute for maslootrazhatelny caps have to be replaced (work for a workshop).
3. Put on a protective sleeve (2) a valve core.
4. Oil a maslootrazhatelny cap (86) and spread manually by means of an assembly mandrel.
Prevention

The assembly mandrel is a part of a repair kit. At a nozzle without assembly mandrel the sealing facet of a maslootrazhatelny cap is damaged.


5. Establish and fix springs of the valve and a plate of valve springs.
6. Insert valve rod details, unclench valve springs.
7. Establish a dish-shaped pusher.
8. Replace a maslootrazhatelny cap.
9. Unscrew spark plugs.
10. Install camshafts.
11. Fix an engine electrical wiring set covering on a forward wall of a body.
